Hi, I’m Rex. I am an expatriate for almost 25 years now here in Dubai, U.A.E.. I have always wanted to pursue my studies and finish my bachelors after graduating from high school. Unfortunately, due to my family’s economic struggle during my freshman year, I opted to work abroad. Years later, I was able develop my professional career in marketing, as such I was accepted in the MBA program that was being offered by an American school. Having the foresight of how important it is to have an excellent foundation on one’s early educational years, my wife and I established an Early Learning Center for early education in Dubai, UAE in 2010 and managed to bring the same template used here in Dubai to Philippines in 2015.
Learning is continuous no matter what status or age you are. I have chosen to apply to the University of the Philippines Open University because of the quality and flexibility of the system. The pandemic has disrupt the educational system and a new normal emerges. Distance learning is a great channel for one’s continuous education. There will be challenges but equipping oneself and adapting to the new environment is a major key to pursue studies. The University of Philippines reputation for excellence in developing new teaching technologies is the catalyst for my decision to attend the school.
